Terence Harvey Sr.

My name is Terence Harvey Sr., I am a Special Education teacher at Valdosta High School. I am a 2008 graduate of Alabama State University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management.  I am also a graduate of Troy University with a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management. I completed GATAPP to be certified in Special Education.
This is my 6th year teaching and 8th year in education. I came from a school in Waycross, GA. This year, I was given the opportunity to serve at Valdosta High School. I am grateful for the opportunities that I've been afforded while here at VHS. This is the best workplace culture I've ever had, with the best students I've ever had. My goal is to get the best from each of my students while teaching them valuable life lessons along the way. I look forward to continuing to serve all stakeholders at Valdosta High School.  Feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or updates at 229-333-8500 ex. 5199 or via email
I believe that every child is special and have unique qualities that require nurturing for them to reach their maximum potential. My desire as an educator is to give each student a stimulating, motivating, and caring environment conducive to learning. I believe in helping students to grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually as a person to prepare them for the rigors of everyday life.

My role as an education is to act as a light and guide students while giving them opportunities to explore their surroundings, discover new things, and practice new skills. I will hold my students to a high standard that will inspire them to have a sense of ownership of their education.
I am a lifelong learner. I continuously learn from veteran teachers, parents, and students, on how to make their learning experience more meaningful in order to help them become the best that they can be AND BEYOND!
